Day-to-day information about how the school runs.
ELC: 8:00am–2:50pm (2:00pm Wednesdays). Elementary: 8:00am–3:00pm (2:00pm Wednesdays). School office: 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Co-curricular activities run after the academic day; later buses are available.
Grades 5–12 students need their own Mac laptop (used Macs accepted if under three years old).
AISB does not have a full school uniform. A Vampires PE kit is mandatory for all PE lessons and sport activities. You can buy it through the Vampires Store on campus. Optional AISB-branded items are also available.
AISB’s phone policy is covered in detail on the Safeguarding page. In short: phones are managed, not banned. The approach varies by section.
Details on the attendance and absence reporting process will be confirmed by AISB.
Homework policy by section will be confirmed by AISB.
Secondary uses quarterly IB reports and Advisory check-ins. Both sections use Toddle and Seesaw for ongoing updates.
Stradale runs the campus cafeteria. Accounts are set up at the start of the year. Mitzu coffee shops are also on campus.
Excelsior Tour runs the school bus service. They have served AISB families since 2004. Routes run daily from Bucharest to campus, with later buses for students in co-curricular activities. Pricing ranges from approximately €2,530 to €3,465 per year depending on distance. Families who drive can park on campus with a sticker.
Sharing feedback
Feedback is an important part of our culture at AISB. We have a range of opportunities to listen to our families.
Director’s Coffee Mornings run monthly and open to all families. So are the section-specific Coffee Mornings run by each principal.
If the Coffee Mornings are not your thing, your child’s teacher, the section principal, or the admissions team are all reachable by email.
Get Involved
AISB&Co is the parent association. Every parent and staff member is automatically a member. There are no fees. A Parent Coffee, open to all families, runs every month.
AISB&Co organizes community events, connects new families through 12+ country liaisons, runs parent yoga and social gatherings, coordinates volunteers for performances, sports, and school-wide events, and supports the Gala and other fundraising efforts.
If you want to get involved, whether that is helping at International Day, joining a committee, or just meeting other parents, AISB&Co is the place to start.

Elementary uses Toddle. Secondary uses Seesaw. Both give you access to your child’s schedule, units, assessments, and teacher feedback. Formal reports are issued quarterly.
CCA sign-ups happen at the start of each season (three per year). Details are shared through the Weekly Buzz and your child’s section.
Start with your child’s teacher or Advisory mentor. Counselors are available in every section for drop-in or scheduled sessions. If it is a safeguarding concern, the reporting process is on the Safeguarding page.
Fee invoices and payment details are managed through the finance office.
Bus service is managed by Excelsior Tour, not the school directly. For route changes, lost items, or scheduling questions, contact them directly.
