Alumni Journeys

Our graduates work in IT management, dentistry, film editing, PE teaching, and education; in countries from the UK to South Korea. Recent university acceptances include: Dartmouth, UCL, Edinburgh, King’s College London, Warwick, Bocconi, Purdue, University of British Columbia, University of Amsterdam, Leiden, and more.

Peter Achim, Class of 2014

Computer Games Design at the University of Cumbria. Ten years on, he is an IT Manager at a secondary school in Nottingham, married with two boys.

David Achim, Class of 2017

Sports Science at Loughborough, followed by a PGCE in PE. He has been a PE teacher at the British School of Bucharest for five years. Getting married to another AISB alumna this summer.

Hana Achim, Class of 2023

Double major in Theater and Film at Lancaster University, currently in her final year. She wants to work in film editing in the UK.

Dorothea Achim, Class of 2009

International Business and Finance at the University of Dundee. Worked at AISB for 10 years, completed a teaching certificate in the US, and is now a co-teacher at Chadwick International School in South Korea.

Esther Iach, Class of 2010

Dentistry at Carol Davila University in Bucharest, followed by a postgraduate residency in prosthodontics. Working in private dental practice in Sibiu since 2018.

Support AISB

AISB is a not-for-profit. The Scholarship Program has supported over 50 local students since 1999, funded by the annual Gala and individual donors. Alumni, parents, businesses, and private citizens all contribute.
