AISB & Co Parent Association
AISB & Co is AISB’s parent association. AISB & Co gives parents a place to connect, plan events, and have a say in how the school runs.
What AISB & Co does
AISB & Co connects school and home. In practice, that means organizing events, coordinating volunteers, connecting new families with existing ones, and making sure parent voices reach the people making decisions.
Run by parents, the Core Team meets bi-monthly. Every month, there is a Parent Coffee open to all families: a chance to hear what is happening, raise what is on your mind, and meet other parents. At least one Core Team member attends the monthly meeting with the School Director, so what is raised at the coffee table gets heard at the leadership table.
AISB&Co also manages the annual events budget, reviews grants, and coordinates the volunteers behind the year’s biggest community moments.
Country Liaisons
One of the first things AISB&Co does for new families is connect them with a country liaison: a parent from the same country or region who already knows the school and local area.
Parent volunteers from your home country who have been through the transition. They reach out before you arrive.
Social events, WhatsApp groups, and the kind of friendship that makes a new city feel like home faster.
Where to find a dentist, how the bus works, which supermarket stocks what you need. Real answers from families who have done it.
How AISB & Co works
New members are nominated based on a track record of volunteering at the school. The Core Team votes by majority. Executive Board elections happen in May each year, with one-year terms renewable up to three times.
Monthly meetings open to every parent. The agenda covers a financial update, upcoming events, and open time for suggestions and feedback. These are the main way AISB&Co hears from the wider parent community.
At least one Executive Board member and relevant Core Team members attend a monthly meeting with the School Director. Concerns raised at Parent Coffees or through Core Team members are brought directly to that table.
AISB&Co operates under AISB’s financial policies. Funds are held in an AISB account and audited annually. The Treasurer reports monthly to the Core Team. There are no membership fees, funding comes from events and fundraising. The organization maintains a minimum €1,000 balance at year-end.
No. Every parent, faculty member, and staff member at AISB is automatically a member. There are no fees.

Yes. Many events need hands for a single day, like International Day, productions, and Sports Day. AISB & Co will match you with something that fits.
