Athletics and Activities

Dear Secondary School Parents and Students,

Welcome to AISB and Vampire Country. My name is Scott Hibbard and I am the Athletic and Activities Director. Sport and activity is a vital part of student life here at the AISB. Some of life's most important lessons, such as victory and being part of a team, are learned through participation in athletics and activities. AISB takes great pride in offering one of the finest interscholastic athletic and activity programs to be found in Bucharest, and throughout Eastern Europe. We strive to provide our students with the best in coaching, facilities and equipment, all of which are based on the core values of our program: excellence in effort, sportsmanship, teamwork, self discipline and dedication.

A variety of competition levels are arranged with other schools and clubs in the local area and AISB is a proud member of CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Association). Our membership in CEESA and other organizations such as ISTA and AMIS provide our students with excellent opportunities to participate in a wide variety of academic, cultural and sporting events.

The administration, parents, teachers, and students support this program to the fullest and recognize the important role that athletics and activities play in the total education of our students.
