Supporting AISB

The culture of philanthropy at AISB has grown and changed in many ways over the years. AISB's commitment to philanthropy has allowed us to mature as a school and as a community. We have demonstrated our support to the local communities we live in and to the students of AISB. Regardless of the form that our philanthropy has taken over the years it has taken us to a better place.

At AISB philanthropy is not measured solely by the amount of money raised for a particular cause. It is measured in equal parts by the amount of time spent thinking about and planning how to solve problems or issues affecting our community and the programs we offer our students. It is measured by the number of people who participate and volunteer their time and energy to make a difference in the community. Our philanthropy is as diverse as our school community and is a key strength of AISB.

The AISB culture of philanthropy is demonstrated in many ways.

• Community service projects supported by the time and energy of the elementary and secondary school students and faculty
• ARISE - Mentoring program for teachers in the Romanian school system
• Terry Fox Run - Support for cancer research in Romania
• PTO Auction Gala - Support for school programs, facilities and community outreach
• United Way - Faculty volunteers for community service projects
• Performing Arts - Support of our performing arts departments through the time, money and generosity of corporate sponsors, parents and students
• Booster Club - Support for the athletics and activities of our student athletes and scholars

These are only a few examples of our school's philanthropic efforts. They are as diverse as our community and they unite us in the common desire to make a difference. At AISB we are continuing a tradition that is steeped in history.
