Preparations for the First Day of School
All Early Childhood and Elementary School students will receive their school supplies in their classrooms at the beginning of the year. Build up your child’s excitement at starting school in a new place or in a new year with shopping for a new backpack and maybe pencil box, inside shoes and changes of comfortable clothing for the year.
Middle and High School students are expected to purchase branded school supplies from AISB. Notebooks and folders appropriate for each subjects will be sold in grade packages starting with August 18th. Pay for stationery packages at the Cashier’s office, receive a ticket, and redeem your package in the Secondary School office by exchanging your ticket.
Early Childhood students who have rest times at school will need to have certain bedding items for sleep time – the EC teachers will provide a specific list for each family upon the first meeting.
As you enter the school building by the main door, to your right, you will find the AISB Vampires Store. The store hours are 7:30 to 8:30 every day of the week and 14:30 to 15:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 13:30 – 14:30 on Wednesdays.
At the beginning of the school year, given the high quantities of merchandise that will be required, we will be selling from different points in the campus – the Choir room and the Cashier’s office/Secondary School office.
Parents can also volunteer to help out in the school store. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.

EATING AT SCHOOL
The AISB Stradale Carnivale Cafeteria is open for all students and parents who would like to eat lunch at school. Snack is included in the school fees for students in the Early Childhood and Elementary School. Lunch can be purchased through the AISB Cafeteria or sent from home. You can purchase the large menu for 25 lei per day and the small menu for 18 lei per day.
Students from Early Childhood 2 to Kindergarten classes have lunch delivered to their classrooms, Grade 1 students are served at tables in the Cafeteria and all students from grades 2 to 12 can choose from the offered menu choices. For a Cafeteria contract please contact Mr. Daniel Obretin, Cafeteria Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org .
If you choose to send lunch from home during the day, please note that all deliveries are to be made through the side gate of the school (between the school and the buildings next to it) by 11:45 each day. The lunch packages need to be labeled with the name of the student, grade, homeroom teacher and deliverer name. They will be stored in an isolated box until the Cafeteria crew arrives to pick them up. The children will find them in the Cafeteria (first table on the right as they enter) or will receive them in their classes, depending on their ages.
The AISB Library holds over 30,000 volumes of mainly English language print material. In addition, the library offers over 60 magazine subscriptions and 16 research and literacy databases for patron use. Library hours are from 07:30 to 17:00, apart from Wednesday and Friday, where hours are 07:30 to 16:00.
The Library staff is always available for patron support. Since the Library hosts several author visits and activities, watch the signs clearly displayed in its vicinity for modifications to its schedule. Parents can sign-up as patrons as well and check-out books and DVDs and they are always welcome to the Library.
HOW IS YOUR CHILD GETTING TO SCHOOL?
There is unfortunately no public transportation that is reliable enough for us to recommend it for your children. If you would like to get a recommendation for a transportation company that you can hire, please email the Admissions Office at email@example.com.
